From Gaza to the Pacific Ocean: The Struggle for Influence in U.S. Politics

Surprisingly, some are shocked by Trump's request for Egyptian President Al-Sisi and the Jordanian King to accommodate displaced Gaza residents on their lands. The main goal behind the complete destruction of Gaza through the use of American bombs seems to be the displacement of its residents towards Egypt and Jordan. By moving away from hasty and superficial interpretations of the events in Gaza, and focusing on the deeper picture, its contours become clear: major powers are competing to advance their interests in Palestine.

What happened in Gaza reflects the violent earthquake reshaping the global balance of power between the "American eagle" and the "Chinese dragon." This conflict will claim the lives of countries and regimes that might find themselves in the eye of the storm. But how is this related to Gaza?

To understand what happened, what is happening, and what will happen in Gaza, we must return to the declaration made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a few months ago. Netanyahu revealed a massive project to create a commercial corridor and infrastructure connecting Asia and Europe through Israel. Netanyahu emphasized that this project would change the face of Israel and the Middle East, leaving a significant impact on the entire world.

Netanyahu explained that the project begins in India, passing through the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Israel, all the way to Europe. When reviewing the countries that welcomed this announcement, we find Saudi Arabia, the European Union, the UAE, France, Italy, and Germany. These countries have announced the launch of omic corridors stretching from India, which is set to become a global center, through the Middle East, and reaching Europe. In this context, Israel becomes a key transit point, through which railways and seaports will open a new route linking India and Europe, and vice versa.

The project includes the construction of railways, hydrogen pipelines – the energy of the future – the installation of fiber optic networks, and power lines, as well as the development of other infrastructures. This project has profound implications not only for Israel but for the entire region. The developments related to Gaza are closely tied to this grand vision, where the interests of major powers intersect and compete for economic and strategic dominance.

Netanyahu clarified that the United States contacted Israel a few months ago to discuss the implementation of this historic project. Since then, intensive diplomatic communications have begun to realize this breakthrough, which is expected to reshape the region radically. Coordination with the United States and other countries started to ensure that this vision became a reality as quickly as possible.

From this, we can conclude that the war on Gaza, to completely destroy it and displace its residents in Egypt and Jordan, along with efforts to eliminate Hamas and curb Iran’s influence in the region, was part of a meticulously planned strategy. It seems that the planners of "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" sought to provide Israel with a sufficient pretext to permanently resolve the "Gaza issue," which Israel has already begun. The brutality aimed at civilians was merely a calculated strategy to instill fear and push Palestinians to flee south as an initial phase, to later push them towards Egypt and Jordan in a second phase.

The main goal of this project is to empty Gaza and level it to the ground, paving the way for the execution of a strategic project that will pass through it towards the sea, where a natural gas field with an estimated 30 billion cubic meters of reserves is located. This field, along with promises of debt relief for Egypt and American aid, forms the core of the offer Washington is making to Egypt in exchange for hosting Gaza residents and integrating them into its social fabric. With Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's rejection of this proposal, his stance seems likely to cost him a high political price, and he may be replaced by someone who accepts the American offer.

Looking at the positions of the countries involved in this project, we can observe an implicit consensus among them to support Israel, despite the atrocities it is committing, with threats of punishment for those who support Palestinian resistance, as is the case with France, Germany, and Italy, which are signatories to the project.

While there are winners from this project, there are also losers, and they all depend heavily on maritime crossings, which are vital sources of income for them.

Egypt tops the list of losers, as the project poses a direct threat to the Suez Canal, which is the lifeblood of the Egyptian economy.

Turkey is the second loser, as the United States spoiled its centennial celebration of the Lausanne Treaty, which allowed it to collect tolls on the Bosporus Strait. With the end of the treaty's validity and the beginning of the "Istanbul Canal" project, the new American-Israeli project disrupted Turkey's plans and ambitions. This is why we heard President Erdogan threatening Europe with the revival of the conflict between the cross and the crescent.

Iran is the third loser, as the project threatens its role in controlling the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important and busiest maritime passages. The strait is a leverage Iran uses to threaten oil tankers whenever it feels that its interests are at risk.

What distinguishes American policymakers is their clarity in presenting their future plans, and issuing public reports about them. A notable example of this is the report presented by the National Security Advisor, which is considered a guiding "bible" for the White House.

The 48-page report is an important reference that every leader responsible for managing their country’s affairs should read, as it precisely outlines the American diplomacy doctrine and its strategic vision for the future.

The central point emphasized in the report is the U.S. effort to contain China by any means necessary. In the report presented by Jake Sullivan during his speech at Georgetown University, the following statement appeared: "The United States will prioritize outpacing China, which it considers its sole global competitor, while also curbing Russia, which it views as dangerous."

China, with its market of over a billion consumers worldwide, represents a major concern for the United States. Beijing’s ambitions to build a strong sphere of influence in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, and its quest to become the leading global power, are pushing Washington to strengthen its economy, currency, and foreign trade.

Thus, what is happening in Gaza is not just a war, but part of a process to reshape spheres of influence according to an American strategy aimed at containing China commercially by controlling maritime passages.

The means to achieve this are limitless, and anyone who stands in the way of this project, according to American doctrine, will be removed from the equation.
